New Wii Games: Virtual Console Arcade; Soon Followed by Hoverboards?

BIRCHMONT - This morning Nintendo added even more old games you've already played to the Wii library. According to Kotaku.com (or by logging into the shopping channel and just looking) the new weapons in the Wii arsenal are Gaplus, Star Force, The Tower of Druaga, Mappy, with Space Harrier and Solvalou coming soon. They'll run you about 500 Wii points each. For those of you that remember playing these in the arcade, 500 Wii points translates to approximately 20 quarters, or 25 tokens if your local arcade had the "family deal" like mine did!

Thats the problem with kids these days, they have it so easy, not like us OGs that had to walk to the arcade in 6 feet of snow with nothing but the warmth from our power sucking Game Gear backlit screens to keep us warm. Now all they need to do is go riding up the internets and plug into the tubes that bring them good gaming stuffs. What's next, hoverboards?

Watch The First Punch-Out for Wii Trailer

It's no secret that I'm extremely geeked out over the new Punch-Out remake for Wii (expected to drop May 18th, 2009 according to VGreleases.com).

I've waited patiently for the first screens and trailers hoping beyond hope that Nintendo would not spoil it....and it looks like I've been rewarded!

Watch this trailer and tell me that it doesn't make you start punching in the air anticipating how great it's going to be with the Wii-remote!

Video Game Fonts: Halo

As you all know we do a ton of Photoshopping work at 2BN. As any graphic designer will tell you, the secret to good photoshop work is choosing the right font. This is why we've compiled fonts to match the most popular game titles around!

This week's font is for the ever popular gaming series Halo. While being a consumate fanboy, I of course prefer Marathon that I used to run on my Performa Mac OS based computer, whilst sipping expensive tea lates and talking about how much better I was than the average person, but hey, Halo is pretty darn good too :-P

Interesting how the biggest bright spot in the Mac OS gaming arsenal has become the Microsoft flagship product for it's gaming ventures. Ah, what a crazy world we live in.

Anyways, enjoy the truetype halo font!
