Eidos Releases Metal Gear: Batman

MTV has been promoting the trailer for the new video game series, Batman: Akham Asylum. I'm sorry, did we say new game series? We really meant the newest sequel to Metal Gear solid, this time with Batman skins instead of Mr. Snake.

You have to infiltrate an enemy stronghold without being seen, heard or reported. Sound familiar? Well, watch the trailer, and you will get a distinct feeling of deja vu as you watch Mr. Wayne crawling behind walls and choking out baddies with guns that so conviently look the wrong way. I'm just wondering where the orange crates are?

Not to knock them or anything, can you blame Eidos for wanting a slice of a good game design? I wonder what Lara Croft has to say about this...

Even the same kind of music...

Will batman shoot down a giant Joker-bot and then fist fight joker on top? Reminds me of Ghost Rider being like DMC/GOW. Ah well, rip off or not, maybe a batman game will be good once, or maybe it'll play like a stealth Batman Forever.
