Kanye West loves Auto-Tune so much, he’s marrying it

February 19, 2009 by kt

NEW YORK - It has been confirmed that as a result of Kanye West’s latest album 808s and Heartbreak, Mr. West has become so enamored with the device known as Auto-Tune that he has proposed marriage and plans on becoming eternal partners with it. The voice vocoder, which is a recording effect that allows him to digitally alter the pitches of his voice to sound like a gay robot, has been a great inspiration to West. He not only credits Auto-Tune for his album’s success, but has indicated that it is motivating him to become a better person. And by better person, he means that he will “continue to make dope records for [his] gazillion fans all over the world using [his] baby Auto-Tune, because shit is hot and keeps it on the real.”

Inspired by Prince of Persia commercial, Sigur Ros and other obscure Icelandic musicians create video game

December 31, 2008 by kt

If you haven’t noticed lately, video game commercials are getting pretty emo. With the use of DeVotchKa’s “How It Ends” in Gears of War 2 and then Sigur Ros’s Untitled song from their Untitled album (not pretentious) in Prince of Persia, gaming and indie music are now teaming up for the ultimate indie nerdcore fest ever. With the two worlds of gaming and music proverbially mingling at the company’s holiday mixer (you know, the one where you got “sooo wasted!” at off the un-spiked egg nog), Sigur Ros and other music artists native to the country of Iceland have decided to cross brand themselves to become more widely known and accepted. Thusly, they are currently creating and featuring in their own video game.

I feel the need to clarify something before I get into the nitty gritty of my introductory post. The fact that I am contributing for a site whose central theme lies in gaming is kind of amazing considering I know almost

Guitar Hero: World Tour Song By Song Review

November 20, 2008 by Micah Bleich

Well, the 4th edition of the Guitar Hero series is upon us and it's rife with already done hackneyed game functions stolen from Rockband, but hey, it's got cymbals!
I'm not going to bore you with my opinion of how much the sensitivity levels of the drums suck, or how awesome it is that you can trick your girlfriend into playing a video game with you. You can read that shit on some other website that actually cares if you're informed. Micah and KT are here to enterain and, of course, educate!

Recheck your credit card balance -- if you're close to the limit, now is the time to settle up. There are lots of ways to manage debt like shaking trees and selling the apples that fall out. If you didn't understand this piece of advice, it's because you don't play Animal Crossing, and therefore, are not a complete idiot. Congratulations.
